About Cynthia and Rita
We feel beyond blessed with the special friendship that God has granted us. During our many conversations, the rich fasting traditions of the ancient Christian church have been one of our favorite topics. As we shared our struggles on how difficult it is to take advantage of them as we should, our programs were born. We are ever grateful for the opportunity to share this program with all of you.
Cynthia Damaskos, CHC
After close to four decades of studying health and nutrition for herself, family, and friends in an informal manner, Cynthia made her passion official by becoming certified as a Holistic Health Coach through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Her background in public speaking, and striving to live a healthy and Christ centered life, has propelled her to help others realize their potential under the holistic umbrella of Spiritual, Emotional, and Physical health. She has a private coaching practice, leads women’s wellness workshops, speaks at conferences, and holds retreats.
Cynthia’s book, The Holistic Christian Woman explores Galatians 5:22-23 and how these verses pertain to how we should be living our lives spiritually, emotionally and physically. It is a workbook that can be used individually or for group bible study.
Rita Madden, MPH, RD
She is the author of the book: Food, Faith and Fasting, A Sacred Journey to Better Health.
Her book was inspired by responses to her workshops and her podcasts on Food, Faith and Fasting, which are available on Ancient Faith Radio (www.ancientfaith.com).

She focuses on helping people and families form a healthy relationship with food. Such areas include weight loss/management, type-2 diabetes prevention, reducing blood pressure and triglycerides.

She conducts nutrition workshops on a nation-wide level and is devoted to helping people form a healthy relationship with food.
